Hi Bilal! I need to start paying attention to keeping fit. Can you please tell me why yoga would be a better option than going to the gym? Thanks!

Hi, thanks for the question. You've already made the move towards keeping fit. Just making the intention is the start of it. Going to the gym or going for yoga, both will benefit you equally in your fitness goals. Yoga will allow you to explore your own body and find strength within yourself. It will help you stretch your muscles and release all the stress you have stored in your body. After a yoga session you'll feel refreshed and energetic and this carries forward to other engagements of your life. Truthfully, I wouldn’t compare going to the gym versus doing yoga. I would recommend you try both for, maybe, a couple of months and see what makes you feel stronger, healthier and happier. Staying fit is a lifelong practice and I would recommend you give yourself options at the start and see what really works for you and your body. There are plenty of great Gyms and excellent yoga teachers here in Karachi that I can recommend to you. Hope this helps.
